Gordon Kimble our longest serving member of staff retired at the end of October 2007 after 31 years with the firm. A reception was held in his honour and members of staff, past and present, together with other guests, enjoyed hearing about "the good old days"! |

| The team was professionally managed by Debbie Friel, who, with authority, changed the tactics as we conceded goal after goal - even bringing on her husband, ex-Reading professional and ex-ABW stone mason George to try and stem the tide! The early bath only ensured a more extensive use of the hospitality facilities at the club by the dozens of friends and families that turned up to support us! |

| A.B. Walker & Son held its first evening event at the Phyllis Court Club in Henley for those involved in the care of the bereaved to promote a shared understanding of the needs, concerns and expectations of the bereaved. Chaired by Julian Walker, the speakers were Peter Bedford, HM Coroner for Berkshire, Dr Bill Webster, Bereavement Specialist and Pam Rhodes, writer and host of Songs of Praise. Pam stepped in at the last moment to replace a poorly Claire Rayner. Over 150 specially invited guests attended and the evening was a resounding success. We hope to hold a similar event each year - if you wish to be invited please let us know. | ||

| The majority of our team at A.B. Walker attended a cycling treasure hunt in the New Forest in order to develop their working relationships. Although a wet day, the subsequent lunch ensured that we all left with a warm feeling inside! | ||
