Resurgo Trust - Spear Programme

Resurgo Trust - Spear Programme

Resurgo means ‘to rise up again’. It describes our vision that if we each play our part, society will flourish. The Spear Programme, Resurgo’s flagship initiative, works with young people facing social and personal barriers to prepare them for work or education. It aims to help 16-to-24-year-olds to overcome the challenges they are facing, equipping them with confidence, motivation and skills to succeed in long-term employment. We use our coaching expertise to empower young people with the mindsets and tools they need through both group and 1-1 sessions, with ongoing career support upon completion of the programme. Since starting the programme in 2003, 75% of those who have completed the Spear Programme not only entered work or education but were still there a year later. We are helping to change what young people believe about themselves and what’s possible for their future.

We are thankful for the memory of June as an enthusiastic, hard working supporter of Hill End Pathfinder camps. At school June was a straightforward, no nonsense upholder of the Christian ethos of RBCS. We are thankful for her faith, glad for her that she enjoys God's presence, but are sad for Steve and the family in the loss of a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
