Choosing Funeral Transport
From our black fleet of modern funeral vehicles to horse-drawn hearses and beyond, AB Walker will work with you to make the funeral transport and cortege as personalised as we can.
The final journey
The journey to where the funeral will be held is an important part of the ceremony; it’s not only the unofficial beginning of the day for loved ones, it’s also the final journey of the person who has died, and it should be dignified, personalised, and memorable for all the right reasons.
Funeral Vehicles
Not only do we operate a fleet of modern Jaguar funeral vehicles in black for traditional funeral procession, we also offer a variety of other options. You may like the idea of a different type of hearse.
Our hearse options include:
A Land Rover hearse
A classic old Austin hearse
Horse-drawn hearse
If you’d prefer a colour other than black, or if you’d like to personalise the hearse in more unusual ways, these are all options we can consider together. For example, a previous funeral procession saw sporting equipment affixed to the roof of the hearse, as an affectionate nod to the beloved hobby of the person who died.
We can also supply limousines to take you and other family or friends to the funeral. We can even discuss organising a traditional Routemaster bus in red or green if you need to transport a large party of mourners safely and punctually.
Choosing the funeral procession route
You can choose the route that the funeral vehicles take. We will discuss whether you would like the hearse to go directly to the funeral venue, or via your home or another address and if you would like to travel as part of a cortege.
You may have a specific route in mind, would like to incorporate local landmarks or significant locations into the route let us know and we will work with you to arrange this and personalise the journey further.
