Arranging a funeral

From the moment we receive your call, we’ll be here to support you. We’ll welcome you and your family to our offices, and guide you through the process of arranging the funeral you would like with care and compassion.

We’ll be with you every step of the way

Making arrangements for a funeral of a loved one can be a daunting task. We understand that you’ll be feeling emotional and the thought of arranging the funeral could be overwhelming. That’s why, at AB Walker, we’ve made sure we’re here for you; from the moment you get in touch through to the final farewell – and beyond.

Where to start with arranging the funeral

Once you have taken the first steps when someone dies, it can be difficult to know and think about what to do next. Don’t worry we are here to help and guide you.

When you first call us, we need to take a few details so that we can collect the person who has died and take them into our care.

We’ll then make an appointment for you to come into one of our branches to make the funeral arrangements. You can choose the most convenient branch for you. Whichever branch you choose, you’ll be met with care and compassion. You’re welcome to bring family or a friend(s) with you.

Your appointment details will be confirmed by email. Within the email, we’ll highlight some of the main aspects of a funeral for you to consider, with links to information on our website to help you. We suggest you think about these and chat with family or friends before coming in. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers, we’ll take you through everything in the meeting and you can come back to us once decisions have been made.
