Although Alan had been a member of the Oddfellows Friendly Society for a short time, he had the ability to make instant friendships with people he had never seen before - a great gift and a great loss to the Society. We are sure that he would have made a real impact but sadly taken far too early. Pat & David made a donation by other means through A.B. Walker. Alan was best man at our wedding on 4 July 1970 and he was so looking forward to seeing everyone again and making a speech. Sadly this never happened but we are struggling to come to terms that we will never see Alan again. A great loss to so many people. The world needs more people like Alan to make it a better place. Rest in peace Alan - your work is done here on earth xx.
