Caversham Church Fete - Saturday, 8 July 2017 at 1.00pm
Caversham Church Fete is a truly traditional fete, combining entertainment, refreshments, stalls and sideshows on the banks of the River Thames in the beautiful and historic Caversham Court Gardens. Organised by St Peter’s and St John’s Churches, in Caversham, and St Margaret’s Church, Maple Durham, the Fete is sponsored by Walmsley Estate Agents and ourselves at A.B. Walker.
Entertainment includes a selection of music from the remarkable Tadley Band, a traditional brass band that traces its history back 140 years; an amazing range of dancing from the Joanna Wright School of Dance; entertainer Fred in the Shed, especially but not exclusively for younger fete-goers; and, of course, children’s races and a kids’ zone.
When the excitement and activity gets too much be sure to join us down by the river, where will be under the big red tent serving up Britain’s favourite drink – PIMM’s!!
As tradition demands, this great family afternoon out will be rounded off by the Grand Draw, with a wide range of interesting and valuable prizes, including a £150 John Lewis voucher, splash pool party, meals out and a cruise on the Thames.
We can’t wait to see you all there!
