How We Support the Local Community

As a local funeral director, it’s important to us to be engaged with our community, so that when the time comes for people to engage our services, we are already a familiar, welcoming part of life.

Understanding what’s important to you

Our work in the local community is designed to bring people together. Over the last few years as well as supporting local hospices and local churches, we have been involved in the community in other ways too.

Annual memorial service

Our annual memorial service is open to anyone who may wish to honour the memory of a lost one and brings comfort and reassurance to those attending that they are not alone.

Pride of Reading awards

We also support the Pride of Reading awards, which works hard to honour hundreds of worthy people from across Reading. Each year we are inspired by the stories of those nominated and the impact they have had and are proud that we can help to give them the recognition they deserve.

Local bowls clubs

The value of a bowls club to a community is immeasurable, in terms of not only exercise but also much-needed socialisation for many people who may not otherwise have the opportunity for interaction. We support various bowls clubs across our local area.
