Ethel was a big part of family life for many years. With her and George at number 62 and Nan at number 78 it meant that more often than not a visit to Kings Road involved popping up the road where you were always made welcome even if they were in the middle of something.
Being able to introduce my girls to Ethel and let them learn about other family members from her was a real joy and is something the girls and I will treasure as memories.
When growing up, Lucy and Megan enjoyed many a box of Maltesers at Christmas from Ethel which became something of a tradition that they'll always associate with Ethel.
I will remember Ethel and the many visits to Kings Road and those during her time at Abbeycrest. Always happy, interested in whatever the family were up to and I never heard her complain about anything ever.
Ethel may you rest in peace knowing you were a big part in our lives. Thank you for everything and the memories.
With all our love, Neil, Jackie, Lucy and Megan.
