William McDowell

Passed on 20 October 2025, aged 87 years.

Bill will be remembered as a larger than life character who enjoyed science, swimming, shooting, crosswords and family life.
He was funny, charming and smart and never missed an opportunity to offer a scientific explanation for anything. 
He died unexpectedly but without pain surrounded by his family.

He leaves his wife of 63 years,
Joan and two daughters, Sally-Ann and Petra, their husbands along with 3 granddaughters.
