Brian John Shreeve

Brian was a Norfolk boy whose lifelong love for birds and nature began during his childhood years on a post-war farm. After Norwich School and veterinary training in Liverpool, he enjoyed a distinguished career in veterinary practice and then research before returning to the veterinary work he loved.
Beyond his work, Brian found joy in wildlife, art, literature, sailing, windsurfing, model boats and astronomy. A former RSPB committee member, it is fitting that donations in his memory will support the charity that meant so much to him. Endlessly curious, he never lost his enthusiasm for learning, for nature and for people.
He was a devoted husband, father of four, grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of two. In his last year he made his home in Henley, embracing life by the river. He will be remembered for his kindness, his endless optimism and his gift for always finding the good in people and in every situation. He is deeply deeply missed.
