From the very beginning of Special Olympics in 1982, then for 20 years, Sandy was one of our key competitors, with her infectious smile and caring attitude for these around her. She always gave her very best and nothing was ever too much trouble or effort. Taking part in swimming and athletics was always thrilling and enjoyable for Sandy and she DID like to win!! We all knew that but proving without doubt that sport is for everybody. She will be sadly missed.
